Vegan month – November 2020

That’s right, there is actually a month for Vegans to celebrate veganism.
You may think Veganism is a fairly new lifestyle choice but our
research shows the vegan lifestyle has been around forever, and the official
Vegan Society has been around for 75 years.
So World Vegan Month, what is it, what does it achieve?
Well the main message Vegans want to share is obviously the many benefits
that being vegan can provide for your health, both physical and
mental health. Also the satisfaction of supporting the broader issues
around animal welfare.
Vegan month is an opportunity for Vegans to share information, recipe’s,
tips and generally be loud and proud of veganism

What is veganism?
Veganism is a type of vegetarian diet that excludes meat, eggs,
dairy products, and all other animal derived ingredients.
Many vegans also do not eat foods that are processed using animal products, such as refined white sugar and
some wines
Most vegans extend the definition of veganism to avoid the use of
all personal and household products tested on animals and avoid purchasing
and using all animal derived, non-food products, such as leather, fur, and wool.
The Vegan Society encourages all Vegans to host a vegan food party,
with family, friends or work mates, not easy to do this year with Covid
ravaging the world, but you can still be active by sharing recipe’s on
Social Media or just basically be out and proud. Many people are vegan
curious so the more information and exciting eating options out there the
more people will embrace the vegan life choices.

The great news for Vegans is the amount of Vegan friendly products
entering the market making it easier to find vegan friendly food, and the
variety offers many more dining options.
There is also World Vegan Day, embracing the same celebration themes
as World Vegan Month, just for the day.
