Makes 4 Large Calzones

Cooking time: 35 minutes (plus cooling)
Quick & Easy Calzones
Ingredients
Lion Pizza Base Kit
Yeast sachet (included in pack)
Tomato Basil Sauce (included
in pack)
2 tbsp olive oil
150g beef mince
100g baby spinach, finely
chopped
½ tsp garlic, chopped
½ tsp pepper, ground
100g grated mozzarella
cheese
1 egg, lightly beaten

Method
1. Heat the oil in a pan. Cook mince and spices until brown and add spinach stir until wilted. Add sachet of Tomato & Basil Sauce and sauté for 2 minutes. Set aside to allow the mix to cool.
2. Combine the yeast and warm water in a small bowl, mixing until fully dissolved.
3. Empty Lion Pizza Base sachet into a mixing bowl, add dissolved yeast and combine to form dough.
4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until a smooth ball forms. Rest dough for 10 minutes.
5. Preheat oven to 220°C
(200°C fan forced).
6. Divide the dough into fourand roll each portion into a 15-20cm circle. Top with the filling, leaving a clear border
around the edges.
7. Fold the dough over to enclose the filling, pinching together the edges to seal. Transfer to a lined baking tray and brush with the beaten egg.
8. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
